About Fiona
Hi! I am Fiona and I live in the English Lake District, where I was born and raised. Other places I’ve lived include Yorkshire, New Zealand and Scotland but it’s here on the edge of the western fells I feel at home.

I am a friendly and dedicated yoga teacher and certified yoga therapist. My yoga journey began 25 years ago and I have been a yoga teacher for 12 years. Yoga has been a consistent passion and I have studied many styles to find my own accessible and heart-felt yoga that I love to share with others. Travel, personally and professionally, has also been one of the themes of my life and has interwoven with yoga to lead me to study yoga in India and with some amazing teachers from around the world.

As a yoga therapist, I have a particular passion for supporting women through the changes of menopause, helping people manage anxiety, and guiding anyone who feels “stuck” to reconnect with themselves.
My aim is always to create a warm, welcoming space where you can move, breathe, and feel supported — whether you’re new to yoga or have practised for years.

My Yoga
I am a qualified yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga and a certified Yoga Therapist. I’ve also trained in somatic yoga with inspiring teachers and am a certified Menopause Yoga teacher. I've completed 3 intensive trainings with international teacher Donna Farhi and studied with Judy Hirsh-Sampath and Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. Over the years I’ve completed over 1,500 hours of formal training, studied with some incredible teachers and taught many thousands of hours of classes. My students have ranged from strong, flexible athletes to older adults with mobility issues — and everyone in between.

My approach is rooted in the belief that yoga is truly for everyone, whatever your age, fitness level, or experience. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation, I aim to help people connect more deeply with their bodies and minds — fostering balance, flexibility, strength, and a greater sense of ease in daily life.

Yoga Therapy
As a yoga therapist, I work one-on-one with clients to address specific health concerns, whether they be physical, mental, or emotional. By integrating therapeutic yoga techniques with a personalized approach, I support people managing conditions such as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, the menopause transition and more. My goal is to empower individuals with tools and practices that enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.

Yoga & Travel
I am also a travel industry professional and have been running active holidays worldwide for almost 30 years. I've hiked in the Himalaya many times, walked in beautiful places all over the world, stayed at ashrams in Rishikesh and Kerala and love the true India flavour of yoga that can only be found in the country of its origin. I love bringing my professional skills together to organise yoga getaways and retreats. The creation of the perfect mix of yoga and fun cultural experiences gladden my heart. Past events have included yoga retreats in Scotland and India!
